The Architecture and Alchemy of Vinyasa Flow yoga. Immersion day for teachers.

With Abby Hoffmann & Marie Williams

12 September. 1-6pm

A one-day immersive for teachers ready to move beyond “just teaching a class”…
…and into crafting experiences that land, flow and stay with people.

This is where structure meets intuition.
Where intelligent sequencing meets felt experience.
Where your teaching becomes both precise and powerful.

What you’ll explore

  • Intelligent, purposeful sequencing
Move beyond shapes into meaningful progression

  • Creating true flow states
Not just transitions — but experiences of continuity, rhythm and absorption

  • Teaching with music, rhythm & pacing
How to guide a room energetically, not just physically

  • The power of pause, silence & space
Where integration, depth and transformation actually happen

  • Subtle layers of practice
Bandhas, vayus and bhava — taught in a usable way, not abstract concepts

  • Embodied movement & felt experience
Helping students feel their practice, not just perform it

A unique two-teacher experience

You’ll be guided by:

Abby Hoffmann
Vinyasa, Ashtanga & intelligent sequencing

Marie Williams
Embodied Flow & myofascial movement

Together, we’ll explore both:

✨ The architecture of a well-designed class
✨ The alchemy that brings it to life

What to expect on the day

  • A powerful, intelligently structured flow practice
(taught from two distinct but complementary perspectives)

  • Clear breakdown of sequencing principles & flow psychology

  • Exploration of music, rhythm and punctuating your teaching ‘to the beat’

  • Integration and teaching lab
→ apply what you’ve learned in real time

  • Personal feedback to refine and elevate your teaching

About your Trainer: Abby Hoffmann

With a lifelong passion for movement and embodiment, Abby Hoffmann brings over 4 decades of experience as both as a dancer and yoga Elder. Prior to becoming a
full-time yogi, Abby worked as a performer, teacher, and choreographer before immersing herself fully in the practice and teaching of yoga in the late 1990s.

Abby has been teaching yoga for nearly 30 years and practising for even longer. She trained with Yoga Campus (formerly The Life Centre Education) and continues to deepen her knowledge through extensive workshops and intensives with leading teachers around the world. Her studies have taken her to Mysore, India, where she practised traditional Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga with the late SK Pattabhi Jois and his grandson, the late Sharath.

Dedicated to lifelong learning, Abby is committed to ongoing professional development and to supporting the next generation of yoga teachers. She has been training yoga teachers since 2008 starting at CamYoga and other leading UK institutions. In 2012, she founded Embodied Dancer — a pioneering, dance-specific yoga teacher training programme that has successfully trained multiple cohorts of students. Abby also collaborated with senior UK teachers including Caroline Gill, Dina Cohen, Mark Freeth, and Christopher Gladwell to deliver advanced 300-hour trainings and specialist workshops.

Abby holds a BA (Hons) in Dance Studies (Middlesex University), an MSc in Dance Science (Trinity Laban Conservatoire), and a PhD in Yoga and the Dancer (Middlesex University) — reflecting her deep fascination with science, movement, and embodied practice.

In 2024, she founded Yantra Studio in Norwich, UK, where she teaches public classes, private sessions, and CPD (Continuing Professional Development) for yoga teachers.

She is a Yoga Alliance USA YACEP Trainer and Continuing Education Provider. Abby provides mentorship for trainee and new teachers through her studio.

Abby's workshops are also a treat as they allow for a synthesis of learning and progression. As someone from a performing arts background, she is particularly sensitive to my needs both in terms of physical practice and emotional support. I will continue to learn from Abby for years to come!
